Meet the Farmer

Grizzard Farms and Nurseries is run by Charlie Grizzard, supported by his wife Michelle and his parents.
Charlie’s passion for farming comes from his family’s 200-year Virginia farming history. About ten years ago, he helped his parents restore an 1800s house in Cheriton and started the farm. Recently, Michelle and Charlie moved to Cheriton to be closer to family and farm life. Within three months, chickens and ducks to our list of pets.
This local Cape Charles farm grows potted and cut flowers, with a focus on native varieties, as well as bales of straw and hay, using organic and eco-friendly techniques.
Inside the farm stand, you will find little treasures and the chicken and duck eggs from their flock, aka Chicken and Duck “Seeds”.
